New York based editorial photographer MARIANNE BARCELLONA has traveled to over 23 countries documenting airlifts for humanitarian organizations, covering Recognition Events for Fortune 500 corporations, completing story assignments and environmental portraits for publications such as People, Forbes, Fortune, Money and The New York Times, and creating images for herself.
BARCELLONA thrives on photographing diverse situations. She likes interacting with her subjects, and finds pleasure in helping her subjects to relax in front of the lens and enjoy the experience of being photographed. When the situation calls for a ‘fly on the wall’ approach, she knows how to keep a low profile and maintain sensitivity to the situation, and she finds deep satisfaction in searching out and capturing the moments and images that best tell the essence of a story. For corporate Incentive and Recognition Events, BARCELLONA has assembled her CORPORATE CANDIDS TEAM of outstanding, highly experienced editorial photographers who bring an energy of excitement and creativity to the events. The Teams goal is to always portray their subjects at their personal best, because BARCELLONA and her team recognize that when the Special Event is over, the one thing that remains are the photographs.
I have been a photographer for more than thirty years and have worked on assignment for a wide range of publications including Time, Newsweek, Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times and numerous other publications in the U.S. and abroad. I have also worked for a long list of major corporations.
Daniel Forster was born on Valentine’s Day, in Murten, Switzerland. After an apprenticeship in a photo studio in Berne, he became a freelance photographer in 1974 and has since covered ten America’s Cups and eleven Olympic Games, one of them the Winter Games in Calgary.
His photographs appear in every major Yachting magazine in Europe, the USA, New Zealand, and Australia. 1986/87 TIME magazine sent him for five months to Perth, Australia and used his picture of America’s Cup winner Dennis Conner on the February cover.
Daniel is one of the official photographers in charge of the Rolex Yachting events. Which means covering events like New York Yacht Club events, the Rolex Fastnet Race, Rolex Baltic Regatta, Rolex Big Boat Series in San Francisco, Rolex Swan Cup, Rolex Middle Sea Race and Rolex Sydney Hobart Race.
This hectic schedule still leaves some time for a Cape Horn rounding or a Galapagos cruise. Daniel Forster now lives in Jamestown, just across the bridge from Newport, Rhode Island, USA. During his off time he goes fishing with his daughter Daphne.
